Provigil is in a class of medications called central nervous system CNS stimulants. It works by changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the area of the brain that controls sleep and wakefulness.

Provigil how to use :

Exceeding the recommended dose or taking this medicine for longer than prescribed may be habitforming. AVOID ALCOHOL while you are using this medicine. FOR WOMEN TAKING BIRTH CONTROL PILLS this medicine may decrease the effectiveness of your birth control pills. To prevent pregnancy use an additional form of birth control while you are taking this medicine and for 1 month after stopping this medicine. Provigil side effects :

SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medicine include nausea nervousness headache dizziness or trouble sleeping. If they continue or are bothersome check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above contact your doctor nurse or pharmacist.

Provigil overdose :

If overdose is suspected contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose include fast heartbeat trouble sleeping agitation and restlessness.

Provigil Missed Dose :

You should skip the missed dose. Wait until the next time you are supposed to take Modafinil and then take your normal dose. If you take Modafanil too late in your waking day you may find it harder to go to sleep. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
